Our Story

15 Years Building Chicago, One Project at a Time

Icon Construction & Remodeling Inc was founded in the West Loop with a straightforward belief: Chicago homeowners deserve a contractor who shows up, does the work right, and charges a fair price. What began as a small crew focused on bathroom and kitchen remodeling has grown into a full-service general contracting company serving neighborhoods across the entire city.

Over the past 15 years, we have completed more than 110 projects ranging from single-room refreshes in Wicker Park condos to full gut-rehab buildouts in Bridgeport bungalows. Our team of in-house carpenters, tile setters, plumbers, and designers operates under one roof and one standard: the finished product has to be something we are proud to put our name on. That approach has earned us a 5-star rating across 110 Google reviews and a client base that is built almost entirely on word-of-mouth referrals.

We specialize in kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement finishing, interior design, flooring, tiling, plumbing, cabinetry, countertop work, and full condo and apartment renovations. Every project is permitted through the City of Chicago and backed by a written labor warranty.

Marco Reyes

Founder & General Contractor

Marco has been in Chicago construction for over 20 years. He founded Icon Construction after years running project management for larger firms and wanted to build something smaller, more accountable, and more focused on craft.

Teresa Kowalski

Lead Interior Designer

Teresa brings 12 years of residential design experience across Chicago's most demanding neighborhoods. She bridges the gap between what clients imagine and what the crew can actually build, keeping projects coherent from concept to completion.

Danny Morales

Master Tile Setter & Plumber

Danny handles the two most technically demanding trades on any remodel: tile and plumbing. He has been with Icon since 2012 and his work is visible in kitchens and bathrooms across Logan Square, Pilsen, and Lincoln Park.

We never rush the work to close out a job early. Every seam, every tile, every piece of trim is installed the way it needs to be installed, not the way that gets us off-site fastest. Speed matters when scheduling. It does not matter when the grout is being set.

Full Transparency

You get a written scope of work, an itemized quote, and a project timeline before we start. If something changes mid-project, we tell you immediately and in writing. There are no surprise invoices at the end of a job, and there is no work done without your approval.

Code-Compliant Always

Cutting corners on permits and inspections is the single most common way Chicago contractors expose homeowners to risk at resale. We pull every permit required by the City of Chicago on every project, regardless of size, and we schedule all required inspections before we consider the job done.
